What does it take to keep a cemetery peaceful, beautiful, and well cared for year-round?

Ongoing maintenance helps preserve a respectful space for families visiting loved ones. To safely maintain the grounds, please note that glass vases may only be used on the day of a service and may not be left at the gravesite afterward, as they can break easily and create hazards for visitors and our grounds crew.

For permanent or ongoing placement, vases must be approved by the cemetery and made of bronze, granite, aluminum, or marble. Any glass or unapproved vase left at a gravesite may be removed by cemetery staff without notice.

Pre-planning at the cemetery level is an important first step, but it’s also important to understand what is actually being planned.

Cemetery pre-arrangements typically focus on securing burial rights (the property itself) and memorialization options such as monuments and benches. Other services that take place at the time of need, such as opening and closing services or vault installation, are generally arranged later.
