NWFRW proudly welcomes Jennifer Hohman to the June 8th general meeting as the guest speaker. As a passionate anti-trafficking advocate, she is the founder of four organizations: Fight for Us, Houston Area Against Trafficking (HAAT), The Houston 20, and the former Oil and Gas Trafficking Awareness Group/ OGTAG, each playing a pivotal role in combatting human trafficking in Houston. Sadly, Houston ranks #1 for s*x trafficking among the cities in the United States, and each year a staggering 313,000+ victims are s*x trafficked in Texas. Adults and children are exploited for s*x and labor repeatedly.

In addition to her work with combatting human trafficking, Mrs. Hohman oversees Baker Construction’s information and technology team. In this role, she channels nearly 30 years of experience in global business operations, program management, and technology solutions toward executing Baker’s strategic technology roadmap to create a competitive advantage for both Baker and its clients. Jennifer was also the recipient of the March 2024 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award - an acknowledgement of her work and unwavering dedication to the crucial mission of combatting human trafficking. She will share information to help us better understand that human trafficking occurs in all areas, suburban and rural, and has no socioeconomic, cultural or gender barriers.

Mark your calendars, make your reservations, and bring a friend to this important meeting to become better informed and more aware of the presence of human trafficking in the Houston area as well as how to recognize it, report it, and help victims of it.
