Have you checked out last week’s episode of Sightless Voices?

Detrick Jones attended Lighthouse youth programs and now leads a nonprofit that helps people of all ages rediscover creativity through food, art, and storytelling. Born with Cone Rod Dystrophy, he shares how confidence and the right tools shaped his independence.

"As a blind person, you have to have that confidence. It surprises me that people in the blind community are like, 'Oh, you can cook? I don't think I could do that.' Oh, but you could." — Detrick Jones

Mama Mia! This past Saturday, cooking and baking class participants had a blast making personal pizzas and learning how to navigate the kitchen. It's always fun making delicious food together.

We already can't wait for next month's class!
