The Village Fire Department protects and serves the Memorial Villages - a collection of six individual cities (Spring Valley, Hilshire, Hedwig, Bunker Hill, Hunters Creek, and Piney Point), coving over nine square miles, with a residential population of over 20,000 people – by providing both fire and emergency medical services.

After a friendly cooking competition among VFD’s three shifts, C-Shift Captain Adam Ekblaw’s Shepherd’s Pie was selected as the winning dish!

Tomorrow, it will be featured at Belong Kitchen HTX. Stop by, meet some of our firefighters, and try the winning recipe while supporting Belong Kitchen’s incredible mission.

C shift crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment this morning on the Katy Freeway. Crews arrived to find the driver of an SUV pinned in a vehicle that was under an 18-wheeler trailer. Extrication tools were utilized to remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver was transported to the medical center in critical condition.
