US authorities are warning residents and travellers in southern Mississippi and Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle should prepare for the potential effects of Hurricane . Hurricane force-winds, heavy rainfall and coastal flooding is expected in the coming days.

From the Australian Desert: Contemporary Aboriginal Painting is coming to Oklahoma! 🌏 🎨

For the past five decades, Papunya Tula Artists, the oldest Aboriginal-owned arts organisation in Australia, has stood at the forefront of contemporary Aboriginal art, producing some of the most iconic art and artists in Australian history.

Now, more than 120 works by more than 80 of these incredible artists will be on display at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art in Norman, Oklahoma, from October 16th, 2026 to March 14th, 2027 as part of the Irriṯitja Kuwarri Tjungu (Past and Present Together) exhibition.

These stunning paintings are more than art, they're living stories, with each work carrying ancestral traditions (Tjukurrpa) into the present. What began in the Australian desert in 1971 has become celebrated worldwide.

Oklahoma, this is your chance to experience the depth and power of Indigenous Australian creativity!

A massive weekend ahead for Aussie Rules Football in Texas! 🇦🇺🇺🇸

Australian football is thriving in the Lone Star State, with teams from across Texas coming together this Saturday, 19th September, for the Texas Cup in Houston.

The Houston Lonestars Australian Football Club, Austin Crows and North Texas Devils will compete at the University of Houston (Cullen Intramural Fields) as they prepare for the United States Australian Football League National Championships later this year. The Texas AFL community continues to bring Australians and Americans together through one of Australia's most iconic sports.

And the action doesn't stop there!

Next Friday, 25th September, the Houston Lonestars will host their annual AFL Grand Final Watch Party. Whether you're a lifelong footy fan or curious to experience Australia's sporting culture, everyone is welcome to join the celebration and watch the AFL's biggest match live.
