💕 MORE THAN COWORKERS. MORE THAN A TEAM. A FAMILY. 🎀

This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month holds an even deeper meaning for this increadible group of men and women at the Driver License Office.

Dressed in pink and standing together, these employees are showing their love and support for someone who is more than just their manager - she’s a leader, a mentor, a friend, and someone who is currently fighting her own battle with breast cancer.

Great leadership builds strong teams, but genuine care and compassion build families. đź’•

Their matching shirts represent more than breast cancer awareness. They represent unity, encouragement, strength, and a powerful reminder that no one should have to face life’s toughest battles alone.

Today, Texas Department of Public Safety honored several personnel during the October Public Safety Commission meeting for courage, quick thinking and dedication to safety.

From responding to a truck tractor/semi-trailer rollover, to infiltrating a drug trafficking organization, these honorees demonstrated exceptional bravery and dedication for the people of Texas.

Their actions serve as a powerful reminder that everyday these men and women put their lives on the line to protect the Lonestar state.

The Centerville Driver License Office will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026 and will resume normal operations this same day at 1:30 p.m.

DYK? CDL drivers and Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) holders are no longer required to submit medical certificates directly to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Last year, the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) began to transmit medical certification data to DPS. It’s done within a few days to ensure timely record updates.

During a recent traffic stop along Interstate Highway 69 in Fort Bend County, a Trooper seized approximately 12 kilograms of suspected co***ne!

This seizure is another great example of how proactive policing and the dedication of our Troopers make a difference every single day. What may begin as a routine traffic stop can lead to taking dangerous drugs off our highways and out of our communities.
