NASSAU BAY RESIDENTS:
Debris cleanup in the city has started today. This will take a few weeks to get the city cleaned from storm debris, so we ask everyone for their patience during this process. You will see heavy trucks and workers picking up vegetative debris that is open and on ground during this first pass. They will NOT be picking up trash bags during this first pass. If you would like your debris that is already in bags picked up on this first pass, please open all trash bags and empty contents directly onto ground.
There are debris monitoring workers walking around who will be wearing yellow vests with the words Tetra Tech on the back of the vest. Debris workers cannot remove any debris from private property. Please do NOT ask the debris workers to remove any debris on private property or to remove any trash bags as they are not allowed to do so at this time.
Once again, only open vegetation debris is being removed at this time. If you have storm vegetative debris contents in bags, please empty it directly onto ground.

TRASH PICK-UP INFORMATION:
Normal residential household waste trash pickup will resume this Thursday, and then again on Monday. No storm related debris will be picked up with the household waste, so please keep it separate from the storm debris. No vegetation of any kind will be accepted during this time. The city will begin storm related debris pickup as early as next week.
