We share food with the homeless + food insecure community at 550 McKinney St, Houston, TX—Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun at 7:30pm. See you in the streets!
Bring vegan food, water, or just show up. Please DM us if you can bring a meatless dish or bottled water. We, participants in Food Not Bombs Houston (FNBH), agree;
1. to use sharing of free food, exchange of information, and dialogue as a means of promoting social justice, cultural exchange, horizontal organizing, and mutual aid.
2. not to use or tolerate sexual, racial, or any other form of har
assment, authoritarianism, assault, brandishing a gun or threat thereof in conjunction with FNBH.
3. if an FNB volunteer is credibly* accused of assault, escalating violent conflict, or threatening violence in conjunction with FNBH, they will not be considered a volunteer in good standing until the group has reached consensus that the accusations are not credible, or that the volunteer in question has been restored in good standing. (*a credible allegation will be one agreed to by three or more FNBH volunteers). If anyone who has been asked to leave by the group for sexual harassment or assault returns and tries to volunteer, we will circle up and let everyone know that this person has been asked to leave.
4. to bring only vegan (containing no animal products) or ovo-lacto freegan (may contain dairy or egg, but obtained for free) food that is safe for consumption, and to indicate any non-vegan ingredients.
5. to respect each other’s privacy and views, to try to contribute constructively to the group, and to refrain from disparaging the contributions of others.
6. not to sell food or otherwise profit from any kind of donations given to FNBH.
7. not to represent our personal viewpoints as viewpoints of FNBH, or make decisions on behalf of FNBH.
8. to establish a group decision before: inviting the media to FNBH sharings, giving interviews as a FNBH volunteer, giving the media names or any other information about those coming to share or eat (everyone can choose whether or not to speak for themselves).
9. to act in a friendly and calm manner when police visit FNB, and to explain to officers that we are just trying to help people.
10. to encourage each other to call for a circle at any meal sharing to make proposals, work on group decisions, or raise concerns, including those about individuals not respecting these agreements.
11. no members under the age of 18 will be allowed in the group chat, and minors will need a responsible adult present to be able to volunteer.
12. to practice awareness of our own privileges as volunteers and to maintain appropriate respectful and non-exploitative relationships with the community members we serve.

We never endorse anyone, but... people who criminalize food sharing deserve to lose!
Food Not Bombs is able to feed our unhoused and food insecure community every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday because of community involvement and support.
Right now we are critically low on clam shell to-go plates. Our unhoused friends rely on them to be able to carry their meals with them.
Drop off donations to any of our foodsharings of shop our amazon wish list.
For drop offs, you are able to easily pull up, park nearby on the street and walk up. You'll see us outside on the corner of Bagby and Mckinney St. Rain or shine.
