Houston Area Law Librarians (HALL) is a chapter of the American Association of Law Librarians. Our monthly meetings are held at the South Texas College of Law.

It began as an informal group that meet at lunch to exchange ideas and suggestions and the librarians meeting back then represented libraries of six law firms, four corporations, three law schools, and one city agency. HALL was organized formally in 1978 and became a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) in 1981. Today we have almost 100 members from firms, law schools, and courts as well as vendors.
