Congratulations to Architectural Design student Ida Newell for receiving the Most Outstanding Individual Award for high school students in all of Texas.

Ida was one of thirteen finalists attending the Texas Society of Architects’ annual conference in San Antonio today when she learned she won 1st place.

This is the second year in a row that a Guthrie AD student earned the top honor. .archdsgn.sbisd

It's Grand Opening Tuesday at Guthrie, and we hope to see you tonight from 6 to 7:30 to visit classes and tour our new campus. You can join a guided tour or just go directly to your student's class. We can't wait to show you around.

We just completed the first six weeks in our new Guthrie facility and can't wait to show it off to everyone. This coming Tuesday, we are combining the Guthrie Grand Opening with our traditional Fall Open House. Please join us on 9/29/26 from 6 to 7:30 PM.

We have started this year with so many positives, including learning that Film students Xavier Alexander, Sebastian Mendoza, Uriel Abalo, Maximus Richey, Alan Hernandez, and Miguel Hernandez have been nominated by the Lone Star Emmys in their High School Student Production Awards in the Fiction, PSA, and Photography categories. As we end the year, our Guthrie Team posed for one last photo in front of the building that has housed us for the past 54 years. All of us anxiously await our move into the new building in July.
