The Young Democratic Socialists of Quest is back on Facebook! Currently, we're doing a project to end stereotypes on the religion of Islam and its worshipers and the Syrian refugees. We appreciate and respect all cultures, especially those being falsely stereotyped and oppressed. There is even racism, even at Quest. If you're interesting in making a positive difference for not only your school but the world we meet everyday in the Cafeteria during clubs! Hope to see you there!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well this school year. Just sending this email to remind everyone that YDS does meet today in the cafeteria. I encourage everyone to go, it's going to be a really intriguing meeting.

Last week, we met on Tuesday. Unfortunately, we were assigned the wrong room and to add to the chaos, sophomores weren't able to go to clubs. This week we will meet on Monday (today) and hopefully we are able to stay in the area we were assigned, at least for today. Last week we covered some topics such as the Refugee Crisis in Syria, a topic we want to know you guys opinion on.

Today we plan on getting to know you all better. We will be asking all of you what social issues have the most impact right now and what you guys hope to achieve out of YDS.

If you cannot attend the meeting today, it's okay, YDS meets next Tuesday (the 29th) for those who can and cannot attend Mondays.

We also encourage you to come because recently, YDS of Quest has become an official chapter! After talking to directors from the Democratic Socialists of America based all the way in New York, we've become an official chapter and in fact, the only high school chapter for YDS in high school. Be proud of yourselves for taking part in such a successful thing.

I assure you all, this one step of success will grow into a whole staircase of achievement.

The first meeting is tomorrow morning during 10th period for all who can attend! If not, don't worry, we will have it next Monday on the 21st also!

YDS of Quest is now an official chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists organization! If you attend Quest, feel proud. Also, remember to attend the first meeting on Tuesday, September 8th in room 139!

Today, Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders visited Houston, Texas! Gave a great speech and furthers his plans on winning the 2016 Presidential election.
