Another successful stop on the “Been There Done That” training tour. This weekend it was Abilene! Many thanks to all who participated and to Chairman Chris Carnohan for hosting the meeting. I also want to thank SREC Committeewoman Lynda Hogue for all her hard work to make this successful event possible. we were excited and grateful to have TRCCA Regional Directors, Robert Porter and Dub Harrison with us. The "Been There, Done That, Got the T-Shirt" training tour rolled into Lubbock this past weekend. It was great to see friends and meet new chairs as well. We had a fantastic day of training and fellowship with the attendees. Not to mention a big 'ole helping of West Texas hospitality! HD 84 Representative Carl Tepper dropped by and had some very kind words regarding the work of TRCCA. I really appreciated his comments especially coming from a former TRCCA President. It was a wonderful day, and I am so thankful to all who attended. Based on the feedback you provided the program was helpful and well received. Texas

Friday evening, I was privileged to attend the Lubbock County Lincoln/Reagan Dinner, Chairman Shooter and his team did a fantastic job putting on this event. The food was marvelous, and Congressman Ronny Jackson did a great job firing up the crowd.

I was honored to join Texas HD 83 Representative Dustin Burrows at his table for dinner. We had some great conversations. He expressed his concerns about the division in the Party and the challenges we will face in the coming general election. He believes the Democrats will put 100 million dollars toward beating Senator Cruz and other Republicans statewide. He was excited to hear that TRCCA is work our long-range plan to help organize local parties to get out the vote in November.

Finally, this very successful training would not have been possible without the tireless dedication and hard work of SREC Committeewoman Lynda Hogue. Lynda contacted the surrounding counties to invite Chairs, secured the location and along with team of wonderful ladies, made the day special. I cannot adequately say how much I appreciate Lynda's and everyone's help! I'm also so grateful to the ladies for your kind and thoughtful gift.

This coming week we are off for Labor Day, but the tour is back on the road in Wichita Falls on Saturday, September 9. If you are a new or even experienced chair, we'd love to see you there! You will get important primary election and convention training from people who have actually been there and done that!
