Elias Sanchez-Perez, Director Gathering of Eagles and Center for Military History, states that we should all be concerned about the negative impact on education caused by the necessary mitigation of Covid-19.
Mitigation processes caused thousands of students to be unaccounted for and thousands more to fail a course. The domino effect is that many will be ill prepared to face our harsh world upon graduation in May 2021 and May 2022.
I am forming a coalition of community leaders to rent the Gilruth Center at NASA JSC for a STEM Symposium that will bring in a thousand students, and have young professional engineers, scientists and financial professional engage students to provide them paths to self-esteem and hope.
