A special thank you to Dr. Shawki Abed of Smiles Art Dentistry for his generosity and commitment to serving those in need!

Dr. Abed hosts a monthly dental clinic for individuals who need dental care but lack the financial resources to access it. Through this wonderful opportunity, four clients from The Women’s Home received much-needed dental services.

We are grateful to Dr. Abed and his team for helping our clients improve their oral health, build confidence, and smile a little brighter!

We are deeply honored that our “Faces of Change: Her Story is Houston’s Story” mural received an official city proclamation declaring October 3rd as "Faces of Change Day" across the City of Houston!

We are super grateful to have gathered with our community and supporters to celebrate the unveiling of the "Faces of Change: Her Story is Houston's Story" mural this past weekend. 🎨

And a special thank you to the Event Chairs, Rev. Alden Clark and Doug Parker, for their incredible leadership in bringing this vision to life, as well as our Lead Sponsor, Diane Riley.

You can still admire it anytime. Located directly behind the Cottage Shop and brought to life by acclaimed Houston artist Anat Ronen, this beautiful installation celebrates the courage, leadership, and lasting impact of 6 extraordinary women who have deeply shaped Houston.
