We hold safe spaces for like-minded individuals, move with purpose, dedicate a day monthly to community service, exist to heal, connect, and build community.

Nolan Wells is bringing us together, but the pain, the questions, and the fight for justice go far beyond one family. Behind every name is a family grieving, a life that mattered, and a story that deserves to be heard.

From police brutality and gun violence to wrongful deaths, injustice, and families searching for the truth, we cannot keep looking away. Our children deserve to live, grow, and come home safely. Our families deserve answers. Our communities deserve justice.

Meet Camille! She’s been in Houston for just TWO YEARS, and we’re so happy that Houston Black Hikers became a place where she could connect, feel welcomed, and find her tribe. 🥹💚

We walked 5.5 MILES, shared laughs, made connections, and BABY, WE HAD A TIME! 😂🙌🏾

AYYYY HBH TRIBE, Y’ALL HAD TO BE THERE! 😂🙌🏾 From stopping to soak in those BEAUTIFUL views to welcoming 8 FIRST-TIME HIKERS into the family, making new connections, climbing up and down them trails, and finding somebody the PERFECT walking stick… WE DID A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING! 🥾🌳

And the best part? Kicking back by the water, enjoying the peaceful scenery, soaking up the moment… and somebody decided to take that nature experience to the NEXT LEVEL and get right in! 😂🌊 Now THAT’S how you embrace the outdoors!

On Saturday, October 31st, Houston Black Hikers is taking you into the darkness for our HALLOWEEN COSTUME NIGHT HIKE at Memorial Park. 🌲🌙

And that trail?
Let’s just say… something might be watching from the other side. 👀

Come dressed as your favorite character, your worst nightmare, something hilarious, or a costume nobody saw coming. 🎭🔥

🏆 BEST COSTUME WINS A SURPRISE PRIZE!

And it’s not about who spent the most money.

THE WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN BASED ON CREATIVITY. 🎃🔥

So bring the costume that makes everybody stop and say:

“DAMN… HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THAT?!” 😂🎭

🥾 The hike will be 3 miles or less, with dirt, pavement, and mixed terrain.
