We might be a little biased, but we think our volunteers are pretty great. šŸ§”

Some volunteers have been with us for years, while others are just getting started. But each person brings something special to our mission, and together, they help make thousands of meal deliveries possible.

To our Hunger Heroes, thank you for continuing to fill our volunteer zone with kindness, laughter, and a whole lot of heart!

šŸ† The people have spoken!

Congratulations to Truong & Yu Engineers, our Juicebox-Struction Peopleā€™s Choice Award winners! šŸŽ‰ Their build featured a bright yellow duck, complete with a construction hat, inspired by the teamā€™s unofficial mascot.

Thank you, LTY Engineers, for bringing your creativity, team spirit and love for our community to Juicebox-Struction. Together, weā€™re building hope, one juice box at a time! šŸ’›šŸ§ƒ

This weekend, we brought some of our building partners back together to celebrate one year in our new Kidsā€™ Meals headquarters with a little friendly competition we call Juicebox-Struction! And we need your vote! šŸ§ƒ

DDG Engineers, Kirksey Architecture, LTY Engineers, and Pinnacle Structural Engineers traded their building materials for juice boxes, putting their creativity to the test to create some incredible structures!

After an exciting round of judging, Kirksey Architecture took home the Champion Trophy for their Colosse-Yum! šŸ† A special thank-you to our judges, Stephen Cheatham, Emily Cotton, Traci Pelter, and Tim Howell, for helping us crown our champion!

But the competition isn't over just yet, because now it's YOUR turn to choose a winner!

People's Choice voting is officially open through October 18, and everyone can cast one FREE vote for their favorite creation. Every additional $2 vote helps make and deliver a free, healthy meal to a preschool-aged child facing hunger in Houston.

We're so grateful to everyone who made this celebration possible, especially our building partners, who not only helped us build a place to call home but continue to show up for our mission in such creative and meaningful ways.

Take a look at their creations and cast your vote: kidsmealsinc.org/juicebox-struction

Hunger doesnā€™t wait for the first day of school. The years before kindergarten are some of the most important in a childā€™s development, but they can also be some of the hardest for families facing food insecurity.

Before children enter school and gain access to school-based meal programs, there is a critical gap that too many little ones fall into.

Thatā€™s why Kidsā€™ Meals focuses on children ages 0ā€“5, delivering free, healthy meals directly to their homes each weekday. Because every child deserves the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive long before their first day of school. šŸ§”šŸŽ
