FLU CLINICS

It’s that time of year again to get your annual flu vaccination. The Elk County Health Department will have flu clinics at the following locations.

Longton Senior Center October 5 from 8:30 until 10:00
Howard Drive Through October 6 at the courthouse from 8:00 until 11:00
Moline Community Center October 7 from 10:00 until 11:00
Grenola Senior Center October 7 from 11:45 until 12:30
Elk Falls Senior Center October 8 from 12:00 until 1:00

Please bring your insurance cards. Self-pay flu vaccinations are $40.00.

Flu vaccinations are also available by appointment at the Elk County Health Department. For more information or to make an appointment call the Elk County Health Department at 620-374-2277. Our hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00am until 5:30pm.

We are less than a week away from the Wellness Fair. This Saturday October 3 at the Assembly of God Church just south of Howard on Highway 99 from 8:00 am until 11:00am. Stop by have your blood drawn, get your flu or pneumonia vaccinations, and visit with our vendors to learn about the services they provide for our community. Don’t forget to sign up for drawings for door prizes. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

The Elk County Health Department will be offering the Type 2 Diabetes Prevention class starting March 3 from 900-1000am at the Moline Community Building. The class is intended for people who are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. The class will meet every Tuesday morning. This is the second time we will be offering this class.
