Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, but the loss of that day remains with us.
We remember the innocent lives taken, the first responders who ran toward danger, and those who later became sick and died because of their work at Ground Zero. We also remember the families who have carried that pain for a quarter century.
An entire generation has now grown up without a personal memory of 9/11. It is our responsibility to teach them what happened, who we lost, and how Americans stood together in the days that followed.
May we never forget their names, their courage, or their sacrifice.
