The Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG) has created the HOT Connect committee for the broadband initiative which aims to understand better how residents, businesses, schools, healthcare providers, local governments, and community organizations experience internet connectivity across the Heart of Texas region. By combining community input with infrastructure data, demographics, asset mapping, and stakeholder engagement, HOTCOG will develop a Regional Digital Opportunity Plan to identify regional needs and position our communities for future broadband investments.

The first step in this effort is gathering information through a survey to collect as much data as possible to improve connectivity throughout Central Texas. While the primary focus is on rural areas, input from all communities is valuable. Click on the link below to go to the survey or copy and paste the following link into your web browser.
