I want to take a moment to share a very proud “Cadet Dad” moment!
One of the most rewarding parts of leading our Cadet Unit is watching these young men and women grow, work hard, and take the next steps toward their careers in law enforcement. I have been working with several agencies to see to it the journey continues!
I am incredibly proud to share some exciting accomplishments from our Cadets:
🚔 Lt. Burr has been hired by the Mercy Health Police Department in Dispatch!
🚔 Cadet Carey has been hired by the Mercy Health Police Department in Protective Services!
🚔 Former Lt. Fultz is currently in the background process with the University of Dayton Police Department!
🚔 Cadet Swearingen will soon be entering the application process with the Huber Heights Police Division while currently in the academy to pursue her goal of becoming a Police Officer here at HHPD!
When I took on the responsibility of leading this Unit, one of my biggest goals was to create opportunities for our Cadets to learn, grow, and ultimately succeed as law enforcement professionals. These individuals have dedicated countless hours to serving our Division and our City, and seeing their hard work begin to pay off is exactly what this program is all about.
My mission has always been simple: If you are willing to put in the work, dedicate your time, and commit yourself to this profession, I will do everything I can to help you succeed.
To each of you, I hope you know how proud I am of your accomplishments. Watching you take these next steps is a reminder of why I believe so strongly in this program and the future of law enforcement.
Congratulations to all of you! Keep working hard, stay humble, and never forget where you started. Your future is bright, and I couldn’t be prouder!
