Congratulations to Laurie Gross, who was selected as the winner of my latest Kindness Challenge for the month of September.

Laurie was nominated by Ms. Amber Moran and with an impressive list of good deeds and acts of kindness.

You can still enter a nomination for October at the following link, as we have one last winner to select…..and with such a great response from the Community - we will be adding a couple of Honorable Mentions to close out our awards.

Cheers!

FYI - Training Exercises at the former JOANN site.

Please note, you may see an increased law enforcement presence at the former JOANN property in Hudson from Thursday, October 15, through Saturday, October 17, as METRO SWAT conducts scheduled training exercises.

This is a planned training exercise, not an active emergency. There is no cause for alarm if you see law enforcement activity in the area. Thank you.

Update on the Boston Mills Road trail project:

I stopped out again today and was talking to the crews….. a great and friendly group.

The topsoil is going in along the edges of the paved, multipurpose trail and areas are already being hydro-seeded.

The larger of the two pedestrian bridges is moving equipment into place to set the big cement and rebar pylon…..notice the big drill head and vertical piece of equipment.

When complete, this project will provide a safe and enjoyable means for several hundreds of residents to make their way into downtown and to the Boston Mills Rd. Park as well as to adjacent neighborhoods.

Thank you to all involved.

Cheers,

-Jeff

An absolute honor to stand with the family, community members, City Staff / Council and members of the Hudson City Schools to officially unveil the “Clark Rumiser Corner” Honorary Street sign this morning.

Mr. Rumiser was a crossing guard in Hudson for over a half-century, and sadly passed earlier this year at 96 years young.

An eternal thanks to Clark for your service to our community and for watching over our Youth.

I was at our Fire Station just now, right before lunch. The crew was cooking up some pierogies and sausage in the newly refurbished kitchen, when a call came in over the radio for Mutual Aid.

No sooner than I got out of the way and back to my car parked across the street, was the engine crew suiting up and outfitting Ladder Truck #19. They were off in probably less than 60 seconds from the call.

Thank you to all of our safety services, for what you do on a daily basis to protect and serve our Community.
