Here are some more pumpkins that were painted at Wednesday's program. Don't forget to wear your costume for our annual Halloween party on October 28 at 2:15 pm! Activities are great for 2nd grade and up. Younger children may need a caregiver to participate. We'll be reading some spooky stories, doing a craft, playing some games, and having a snack at the end.

Two new adult biographies are ready for circulation. When Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968, Ethel Kennedy was left to move forward with her ten (soon to be eleven) children amidst catastrophic loss. Four new adult novels are hitting the shelves today. Bonnie Garmus, author of "Lessons in Chemistry" has a new release, "Peck & Peck." "Please Enjoy Your Stay" by Tara Goedjen is described as a gripping page-turner. "Music Against the Night" by Yiyun Li is a historical fiction novel about John Field, a composer of nocturnes in Dublin, and Adelaide Percheron, who is searching for her future beyond her life in French India. They are two aspiring musicians destined to become husband and wife at the end of the eighteenth century. "The Occidental Book of the Dead" by T. Geronimo Johnson is described as a darkly funny literary crime masterpiece. Stop by and check one out!
