This week, we had none other than "Indiana Jones" and his "father" present on the history of Polio and Rotary's role to end it!

Along with an entertaining and educational program, three Club members were honored with pins from the Rotary’s PolioPlus Society, representing their individual pledge towards global eradication: Christopher Mick, Ruth Petermann, and Gar Christenson

Saturday was an amazing day for the Hilltop Pumpkin Party and the 73rd Annual Rotary Halloween Parade and Costume Contest! Thank you to all the families who came out, and we loved seeing the great costumes. As always, we couldn't have asked for a better setting – thanks YMCA Camp St. Croix.

The Hilltop Pumpkin Party and the Annual Rotary Halloween Parade and Costume Contest is a partnership effort between our club, Rotary Club of Hudson Wisconsin, the Hudson WI Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, and a whole bunch of amazing volunteers.

What a great Club meeting this week. It captured so much of what makes Rotary special.

Ruth Petermann shared her Rotary Friendship Exchange to Brazil, where she experienced the country as a local and built stronger friendships with fellow Rotarians from our District. The flags she brought home represent so many of those experiences and connections!

Our guest, Margi Horning, represented The Rotary Foundation and presented $12,000 for our Guatemala Stove Project. Rotarian Linda Robertson spearheaded a tremendous effort across several Clubs, and this is going to be a big year for building stoves! More to come on this effort and the impact!

And a standing ovation for Annette Cook, who was named a Paul Harris Fellow for her years of leadership of our Rotary Golf Tournament. She’s led this effort for nearly a decade, and when you think of all the grants, scholarships, and opportunities it has made possible, you understand why her work matters so much.

It's a great way to start a Wednesday and feel our impact locally and globally. Consider joining the fellowship and fun, and message us about becoming a Rotarian!

The Rotary Halloween Parade has been a staple of Hudson's Halloween season for 73 years and counting, making it the longest-standing community event in town! The costume contest was added more recently and has become a can't-miss favorite. Register anytime throughout the day, then join the parade at 1:15 p.m. Cash prize winners are announced right after across every age group, and group entries are welcome too.

🎃 We made the magazine! 🎃

Did anyone notice? Our Hudson Rotary Halloween Parade was featured in Rotary magazine, and we couldn't be prouder to see our hometown tradition recognized by Rotarians across the country.

For those who don't know: this year marks the 73rd Halloween Parade, Hudson's longest-running community event. In recent years, we've paired the parade with the Hilltop Pumpkin Party, so families can make a full day of it and squeeze every bit of fun out of Halloween.

The Rotary Halloween Parade and Hilltop Pumpkin Party are hosted by both Rotary Clubs of Hudson in partnership with the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, and family who has kept this tradition going for 73 years. This recognition belongs to all of you.

Activities run 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., rain or shine

Hey Hudson community - do you know of a local student who could be a future entrepreneur or business leader? Consider Rotary's Camp Enterprise, held Nov 5-7, 2026, in Maple Lake, MN.

Camp Enterprise is a NO COST opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to immerse themselves in a 2 ½ day in-person leadership development program. Led by business executives and entrepreneurs from a variety of fields and interests, you will develop and execute skills in team building, innovation/ideation development, project management, and business ethics. The experience is often life changing.

Students will participate in discussions, presentations, and Q & As about business, service, and life after high school — and have a chance at one of five (5) $1,000 scholarships.

Hudson Daybreak Rotary sponsors students each year, and High School Counselors will have information. Learn more here:https://campenterprise.org/
