Have you ever wanted to make a difference when people need help the most? Your career in Emergency Medical Services could start right here!

The Choctaw County Ambulance Authority (CCAA) is proud to partner with OSU-FST to offer an “EMT Hybrid Basic Course” beginning January 4, 2027!

📚 WHAT IS THE HYBRID EMT PROGRAM?
This 20-week program is designed to give you the flexibility to complete your classroom education **100% online**, while receiving hands-on training from licensed instructors.

Students will:
✅ Complete weekly online coursework and testing
✅ Attend hands-on clinical skills training approximately once or twice every two weeks
✅ Meet on Saturdays for 8 hours of hands-on skills training
✅ Learn from experienced, licensed EMS instructors
✅ Complete the course prepared to take the National Registry EMT examination
✅ Begin the pathway toward an exciting and rewarding career in EMS!

💰 TOTAL COURSE COST: $850
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required when your application is completed and submitted.

📅 CLASS STARTS: January 4, 2027
⏳ APPLICATION DEADLINE: December 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM
👥 CLASS SIZE: Minimum 10 students / Maximum 10 students

⚠️ SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED!
The class must reach the minimum enrollment to be offered, and only 10 students will be accepted.

We remember the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders, the strength of the survivors and families, and the courage that united our nation in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

💙 SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH

At Choctaw County EMS, we know that behind every uniform is a person, a family, and a story. Our profession asks us to be there for others during some of their darkest moments—but we must also remember to be there for one another.

This Su***de Prevention Month, we want our Choctaw County EMS family to know that you are never alone. It is okay to not be okay. It is okay to ask for help. And sometimes, simply asking someone, “Are you okay?” can make a difference.

Our hearts and support are with our coworker Taylor Collins and his family. We stand beside them, not only during the difficult moments, but through the days ahead. They are part of our EMS family, and we will continue to support, encourage, and lift them up. Every employee here at CCAA wear’s a bracelet supporting the Collins family.💙

To every first responder, healthcare worker, friend, family member, and community member struggling in silence:
