We are excited to welcome Ellen Vail, BSN, RN to the team as our new Health and Wellness Director. 💙

Ellen is a dedicated nurse with experience in multiple nursing settings; most notably critical care and high acuity skilled rehabilitation. After stepping into her first nursing role in the post acute setting, Ellen developed a passion for seniors and hasn’t looked back since! Ellen prioritizes excellent customer service, high quality care and bringing teams together to foster positive clinical outcomes. 🩺✨

Ellen grew up down the street from the Charleston beaches, however she much prefers the mountains. She often goes hiking and backpacking with her partner and 3 dogs! 🏔️🐾 Most recently going as far as Switzerland for a week full of hiking and cheese fondue. Ellen also loves crafting and vintage shopping which reminds her of the time she spent with her grandparents growing up. 🧶🛍️

Ellen notes that she has been blessed to work alongside many amazing mentors during her career. Nonetheless, she feels that the biggest blessing has been the opportunity to positively impact her teammates, residents and their families. 💛

Our leadership team is growing in the best way! 🎉

Please meet our new Culinary Director, Andrew Lynch. 👨‍🍳

Andrew was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA. He always loved to cook and help his mother in the kitchen as a young boy. He started cooking for his family when he was just 13 years old. 🍽️

He went to culinary school in Pittsburgh and completed his internship at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead, Georgia. He was then transferred to the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia as the Banquet Chef.

Throughout his career, Andrew has worked in Lake Tahoe, Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, country clubs, fine dining restaurants, higher education, and senior living communities.

He has been living in Charlotte for 26 years and is married with two boys and one daughter. He enjoys camping and kayak fishing with his 17-year-old son. 🏕️🎣

A fun fact: Andrew has done two live cooking shows on local news channels! 📺👨‍🍳

In total, he has been cooking professionally for 35 years. We’re excited to have him bring his experience and passion for culinary excellence to our community! ✨
