Exciting things are happening at Weaver Memorial Park!
We're one step closer to bringing new life to Weaver Memorial Park, better known to many as the Uptown Playground or Weis Store Playground!
Yesterday, we celebrated an exciting milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the park's new pavilion! This is just one piece of a larger improvement project underway to revitalize this beloved neighborhood park and create an even better space for our community to enjoy.
And there's even more to look forward to! The old playground equipment has been removed, and preparations are underway for the installation of all-new playground equipment, including swings, slides, climbers, and more! We're especially excited that the new playground will also feature all-abilities play equipment, helping create a more inclusive space where children of different abilities can play, explore, and make memories together!
These improvements are about so much more than a new pavilion and playground equipment. They're about investing in our neighborhoods, creating welcoming spaces for families, and making sure our community continues to be a place where children can grow, play, and thrive.
A special thank you to the Huntingdon County Board of Realtors for supporting this project through grant funding and to the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce for coordinating the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to join us in celebrating this exciting investment in our community!

We can't wait to see the next phase of improvements take shape and look forward to welcoming families back to enjoy everything this park will have to offer!
It's investments like these that help make Huntingdon a wonderful place to call home, today and for generations to come!
