The Ocean View School District was first established on coastal farmland in 1874, making it one of the oldest districts in Orange County. Today, the K-8 school district provides services to a student population of 8,000 students, 1,000 employees, and 14 elementary and middle schools, in addition to two preschools. OVSD serves all or portions of the cities of Huntington Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley and Midway City. We are proud to build upon our rich history of high academic standards for all students and to provide a collaborative, nurturing learning environment aimed at lifelong success. OVSD's Classified Hiring Event was a success! 😀🎉 Community members took the next step toward joining the OVSD team with the opportunity to apply, interview, complete testing, and even get fingerprinted, all in one convenient location!

And because great opportunities deserve a little something sweet, attendees enjoyed a festive Halloween treat along the way!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Assistance League of Huntington Beach for its continued generosity through the Links to Learning program! This year, 33 OVSD educators and teacher teams across 8 schools received more than $17,900 in grants to bring creative ideas, innovative learning opportunities, and enriching experiences to our students!

For 14 years, the Assistance League of Huntington Beach has been a champion for Ocean View students, contributing nearly $315,000 to support exceptional educational experiences throughout our District! 🌟

Congratulations to our outstanding grant recipients from Golden View , Harbour View, Hope View, Lake View, Mesa View, Village View, Vista View, and Westmont!

Oak View’s Owl Influencers took center stage at the Board of Trustees meeting, showing how student voices are making headlines! 🎬✨

Led by Principal Dr. Araceli Osborn, these talented fourth- and fifth-graders gave trustees a behind-the-scenes look at how they interview, report, write, produce, and edit their very own monthly news show! 🎥🎙️

More than just making videos, these young creators are building confidence, sharpening communication skills, embracing technology, and discovering the power of storytelling through hands-on learning.
