Meet Cynthia Wehr, she is running for Indiana State Senate District 17.

Indiana State Senate District 17 covers Grant County, Huntington County, and Wabash County, along with portions of Allen, Kosciusko, and Whitley counties

She is lifelong Huntington County resident, Wehr is a former business owner and registered nurse who spent nearly 20 years working in surgery at Lutheran Hospital.

Wehr and her husband of 54 years built Wehr Into Flowers into a two-location business before selling it.

A mother of five and grandmother of 10, Wehr previously ran for Huntington County Commissioner in 2024.

She is also a co-founder of McKenzie’s Hope, the Huntington County Child Advocacy Center.

Wehr says her campaign will emphasize equal rights and advocacy for children.

As election season continues, we encourage voters to learn about the candidates and the issues important to their communities.

Beau Bayh has now been to all 92 counties and not only is he running a great campaign for himself but also helps our candidates all over the state, every chance he gets.

This is a great interview with him and we’re looking forward to electing him to clean up the office of Secretary of State and also work to find ways to help improve voter turnout in Indiana.
