Hello from Knoxville, Tennessee! Today, Grant Centers’ Co-Founders, Sara Payne Scarbro and Dr. Liz Vitullo, led a presentation at the Engagement Scholarship Consortium International Conference at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Their presentation, “Universities United: Turning Partnerships into Prosperity,” explores the Grant Centers’ success and the role collaboration played in bringing our project to life. The Grant Centers are a testament to what West Virginians can do when our educational institutions, state government, and industry leadership work together.

Special thanks to all who attended their session and to the event hosts — the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and the member institutions of the ESC South Region — for inviting us to share our experience, forge invaluable networks, and learn from other change-makers in our region.
