Western Regional CASA CASA volunteers - Court Appointed Special Advocates - speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.

Call us - (304) 523-9587, ext. 307 Western Regional CASA serves ten West Virginia counties – Boone, Cabell, Lincoln, Kanawha, Putnam, Mason, Jackson, Roane, Calhoun, and Wayne. On any given day in West Virginia, nearly 7,000 children are living outside their home, either in foster care or institutions. Many are victims of abuse or neglect that wind up in court through no fault of their own. Imagine what it would be like to lose your parents, not because of something you did, but because they can’t—or won’t—take care of you. Now, into these children’s lives come dozens of strangers: police, foster parents, therapists, social workers, judges, lawyers, and more. Hopefully, one of these strangers is a CASA volunteer. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system. They stay with each case until it is closed, with the child placed in a safe, permanent home. Western Regional CASA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, and age in the delivery of services, volunteer opportunities or employment/hiring practices.

Celebrating 35 Years!

Madison Cisco is a Permanency Specialist working to support permanent families after court is over in our aftercare project in Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, Putnam, Boone, and Kanawha Counties. Madison has been with Western Regional CASA since July 2026.

Madison grew up in Mingo County and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and dogs. She enjoys traveling and exploring (including swimming with sharks)! According to Madison, “I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. I believe in meeting families where they are, building genuine connections, and recognizing that every family has unique needs, strengths, and goals. One of the most rewarding parts of this work is being able to provide encouragement and support as families navigate challenges and work toward a brighter future.”

If your teen is having a hard time right now, we want you to know there’s support available! 🧡

MCN offers an After-School Teen IOP for ages 13–17, so teens can get the support they need after the school day is over.

We meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 3–6:30 PM and provide transportation, snacks, therapy, case management, and academic support.

Our program can be a good fit for teens dealing with anxiety, depression, school stress, social struggles, behavioral challenges, difficulty coping with emotions, or vaping/substance use.

Location is in Charleston. 🧡
