More books, movies, and music are coming soon! 📚🎬🎵

From October 17–19, some library services will be limited while Rolling Meadows Library and Wauconda Area Public Library are added to our shared library system.

During this time:
- Bring your physical library card to check out items at the Checkout Desk
- Holds and interlibrary loans will be temporarily unavailable
- Account access and changes will be limited
- Returned items may not be checked in until after October 20
- Catalog results may not reflect current availability
- Most online resources will remain available, though a few services may be temporarily unavailable

The good news? Once the transition is complete, more than 300,000 additional items will be added to the shared catalog, bringing the collection to more than 5.4 million items!

Join us as the Huntley community comes together to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the first responders who answered the call.

The remembrance ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, at Huntley Town Square and will include remarks from community leaders, traditional observances, and a moment of silence honoring those lost on September 11, 2001.

We invite our community to join us as we remember and honor those we lost 25 years ago.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will move to Huntley Fire Protection District Station 1, 11118 Main Street.

Paint Party with Alicia Londos!
When: Thursday, September 17 5pm to 8pm
Where: Huntley Area Public Library Program Room 1, 2, & 3
Please pay the $25 fee in cash or by check before the start of class.

Unleash your inner artist as we paint Fall themed creations.
This hands-on, guided painting workshop is for you whether you are painting solo or with friends; you will leave with a beautiful piece of art that you created yourself.
What are we painting: Fall-themed packets, as seen when you register, will be provided to you, and you may choose a picture to create your painting. We will be painting on canvases with acrylic paint. No experience is necessary. All supplies will be provided.
Bring your favorite non-alcoholic drink and snacks to enjoy while you paint. Registration required

The Huntley Area Public Library will be closed Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

Our book drop will also be closed during this time, starting Sunday, September 6th after 5 p.m. The library and our book drop will reopen and return to normal hours on Tuesday, September 8th at 9 a.m.

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! 📚

Sign up for a new library card or renew your current card during September for a chance to win a prize.

While you’re here, get creative too.

Kids ages 0–12 can pick up a Design Your Favorite Book Cover coloring sheet, and teens and adults can try Reimagine the Cover and create their own take on a favorite book cover.

Stop in, update your card, and celebrate all month long.

We’ll draw and announce our winners at the end of September, so be sure to enter before the month is over!
