Celebrating 35 Years of Library Service in Hazel Green!
The Tillman D. Hill Public Library celebrated its 35th anniversary on October 27 with a special evening honoring the library's history, its lasting impact and the community that has supported it through the years!
The celebration was organized by the Hazel Green Friends of the Library, whose dedication and support helped make this special event possible.
A heartfelt thank you to our featured speakers: Missy Ming Smith, Susan Markham, Julian Butler, State Representative Rex Reynolds, Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner, former Madison County Commissioner Roger Jones and Madison County District 1 Commissioner Tom Brandon.
We also extend our appreciation to Dr. Steve Bell for leading the prayer, Dee Hill for welcoming guests, Karen Stephens for presenting a special commemorative plaque and Jean Zeiler for closing the program.
❤️ A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of a plaque honoring Jimmie Sue Moore's 35 years of service to the Tillman Hill Public Library. The plaque was presented to her daughters, Sandi Wilburn and Susan Wright, in recognition of her dedication and lasting contributions.
Thank you to the Hazel Green Friends of the Library, our special guests and everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Here's to 35 years of connecting our community through the love of libraries!
