For National Principals Month, we want to recognize Ms. McCutcheon and Dr. Adams for the care they bring to Madison County Career Technical Center. The time and attention they give to our students and staff make a difference in our school each day. We’re thankful to have them leading our school!

What happens at Career Tech can extend beyond our school walls. Sometimes that means putting skills into practice. Other times it simply means showing up for our community and giving back.

Our Cyber students helped with the Rocket City Buddy Walk, an annual event hosted by BUDS (Bringing Up Down Syndrome).

Medical Academy students made autumn-themed cards for nursing home residents.

Culinary students helped with the Brenda Gantt recipe tasting event by preparing and serving samples to over 900 attendees.

Different programs, different ways of contributing, but all with the same idea: what our students do can have an impact well beyond the classroom.

Last week, we proudly inducted 27 new members into our school’s chapter of National Technical Honor Society!

Congratulations to our newest NTHS members on this well-deserved achievement. We’re grateful to Dr. Adams, Mrs. Bucy, our NTHS advisors Ms. Morris and Mrs. Stutheit, and our returning NTHS students for their help in making this special ceremony possible. A special thank-you as well to Chef Ehrlich and our Culinary Arts program for providing refreshments for the occasion.

October 2nd is Custodian Appreciation Day!

We’re grateful for the care our custodial team puts into MCCTC every day. Their work helps keep our facilities safe and clean for our students and teachers. We're happy to say that visitors often take a moment to compliment how well our campus is cared for. None of this is possible without their efforts.

Thank you, Nikki and David, today and everyday!

We are happy to announce that Ms. Denise Allen is our Teacher of the Year!

As the Work-Based Learning Coordinator serving Sparkman High School, Ms. Allen helps students take what they’ve learned at school and put those skills into practice in the real world. Her work gives students opportunities to grow beyond the classroom while preparing for what comes next.

With her kindness and ever-present smile, Ms. Allen has built meaningful connections with students and colleagues alike. She brings a genuine care for the students she serves to everything she does. We are proud to have her as part of our Career Tech team.

Congratulations, Ms. Allen!

The Culinary Arts students are taking their skills beyond the classroom!

Our students are one of the local high school culinary programs selected to prepare a Brenda Gantt recipe for an upcoming recipe sampling. We’re proud to see our students putting their skills to work and representing MCCTC in the community!
