🔥🚒 Happy Fire Prevention Week 2026!
This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” From cell phones and laptops to power tools, e-bikes, and scooters, lithium-ion batteries power our daily lives—but they need to be handled with care.
Keep your home and family safe with these quick tips:
• Use the right gear: Always use the manufacturer-recommended charger and cord for your device.
• Charge on hard surfaces: Avoid charging devices on beds, couches, pillows, or other soft/flammable surfaces.
• Don't overcharge: Unplug your devices once they reach 100% and don't leave them unattended for long periods.
• Watch for warning signs: If a battery feels excessively hot, swells, smells strange, or looks damaged, stop using it immediately!
• Clear the exits: Keep charging devices and cords away from doorways and main escape routes.
Fire safety starts with you! Let’s spread the word and keep our community safe all year long. 🧯💨
