Horizons Child Advocacy Center was so grateful to be a recipient of a handcrafted courthouse by Josef R Sooner, who heads the Imagination Dollhouses for Children 501 (C) (3) Organization, that makes play scale courtrooms for child victims, to assist in preparing victims to attend and testify in court. This set was built so that it could be modified for courthouses in all five counties we serve.

Please join Horizons Child Advocacy Center and Horizons Mental Health Center as we recognize April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Take part by posting a picture of yourself in blue and pass on the message of support. Look for the signs of child abuse, and learn what it takes to make the report. Whether you’re a teacher, doctor, family member, counselor, coach, or just a friend, you can’t depend on anyone else to do something about what might be happening. Suspect child abuse? Don’t for a second think this is none of your business.
