We LOVE Halloween! We create a small haunt in our yard every year. We collect food for the Reno County Food Bank, and money for United Way. Hello.
We like to create things that can surprise and sometimes scare. But, not a real big scare. We put out something new everyday the month of October. It always has been, and always will be free to come by and see the front yard. To see what has developed in the back yard...that will cost you. It costs $1.00 (or more if you feel it was worth it) donation to The United Way or a non-perishable donation

Let's see what has gone up so far this year...
1) cutout tin skull on garage

It seems that October has sneaked up on us this year. We have decided, because of all the football games that will be on Friday the 31st, that we will not do the backyard walk-through. This will give us a chance to catch our breaths. We have been doing this, in Hutchinson, for seven years. Also, we are predicting the turnout will be low again because of the football games. The front yard will be decorated was well as the garage. At this time, we are not sure if we will be doing popcorn or not. We will be accepting donations of money for The United Way and canned good for the Reno County Food Bank. Look for Nevermore Cemetery to come back bigger and better in 2015. Halloween is on Saturday!
2013 Halloween has wrapped up! The unofficial count on popcorn bags is...112. Greatly down from last year.
The caretakers of Nevermore Cemetery regret to inform you that at this time due to the wet nature of the weather this morning, and the last few days, the back yard of Nevermore Cemetery will be closed. We are unable to hook up the lights because of the rain. We can not have you in the back yard with it dark. We do not want anyone to get hurt.
We will have a small display in the garage. There will be a photo op set up with our resident family, The Bones. And as always, there will be POPCORN!

This is the evolution of the front yard over the last week. More to come!
Just remember that we put something out new everyday. The front yard is always free to look. Drive the car, walk, bike, or whatever mode of transportation you ues to check out our progress!
Vic and I spent a good part of the day working in the garage getting things ready for Tuesday. I bet people that could overheard us in Village Inn this morning were really wondering what was going on. LOL!
