Last week’s Community Collaboration Series featured Paula Miller of Pleasant View Home, who shared her personal journey battling inflammation, memory loss and chronic health concerns — and how nutrition helped transform her life.

From sugar and processed foods to antioxidants, gut health and preventative care, attendees walked away with practical tips, honest conversations and a lot to think about.

Participants also had the opportunity to try a handheld antioxidant scanner that measured antioxidant levels in seconds, making the presentation interactive and eye-opening.

🏆 Hutchinson is set to host the U.S. Nationals Horseshoe Pitching Tournament May 29–31, 2026 at Rice Park.

Competitors from across the country will gather for a full weekend of championship play, showcasing the skill and tradition of horseshoe pitching. Hosted by the Rice Park Horseshoe Club, Visit Hutch, and sanctioned by the NHPA, the event will feature multiple championship competitions along with opportunities for players of all skill levels to participate.

Spectators are welcome to attend—admission is free. Come out and enjoy a weekend of competition and community in Hutchinson.

The Reno County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in the Veterans Room of the Reno County Courthouse, 206 W. 1st Avenue, to hold their regularly scheduled meeting. At 11 a.m., the commission will hold a study session.
