This week, Lisa attended the โ€œMoving Forward Togetherโ€ conference in St. Louis. Sheโ€™s been learning new strategies to support schools through su***de prevention efforts, strengthen community coalitions, and care for veterans through rural connectivity initiatives. Weโ€™re excited to bring these ideas back to continue making a difference in our communities!

We asked them to share their favorite Rise Up Reno activity from this year, and their answers say it all.

Thank you to these leaders for showing up for their schools and community all year long! From Pumpkinaries to volunteering, leadership conferences to presenting to younger students during Red Ribbon Week โ€” our Youth Leaders made memories while making a difference. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Last week, we got to celebrate our Youth Leaders at our end-of-the-year โ€œPar-teeโ€ โ›ณ๐Ÿ’™

This group dedicated over 1,000 volunteer hours this school year through volunteering at community events, school involvement, and leadership opportunities. The evening was a chance to celebrate all they accomplished together and say goodbye to our graduating seniors. We are so proud of the impact these students continue to make in our schools and community!

A huge shoutout to Hutch Putt for giving us the perfect space to come together and celebrate!

Our high school Service Learning students are wrapping up another great trimester of building connections, supporting classrooms, and making a difference in our elementary schools. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š

One of our favorite things is receiving pictures and updates from teachers throughout the school year โ€” thank you for sharing these moments with us and for welcoming high school students into your classrooms!

Yesterday we celebrated the end of an incredible school year with our volunteers! We were honored to have Lynette McLean share words of appreciation for the volunteers who consistently showed up week after week to support our students.

One student Lynette interviewed said it best: โ€œI love when they smile at us.โ€ โค๏ธ

Never underestimate the impact of showing up, offering kindness, and making students feel seen. Thank you to every volunteer who helped make this school year so meaningful!

๐ŸŒฑ Special thanks to Prairie Hills Nursery and Plant Shop for the fun and educational plant bingo

During Mental Health Awareness Month, our USD 309 Nickerson High School youth leaders had the opportunity to visit USD 309 Nickerson Elementary School this morning to greet students and share ways they can take care of themselves and support their mental health. We are proud of these students for being positive role models and helping spread kindness, self-care, and encouragement throughout their school community! ๐Ÿ’š
