Today we celebrated the ending of an era for this special group of students!

The last day of school is quickly approaching! Don't forget dismissal is at 11:30am on Thursday.

🍎🎉 Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Faris Elementary School 6th Grade teacher Cassie Sturgeon as this month’s Classroom Hero Award recipient presented by Heartland Credit Union.

Each month, Ad Astra Radio honors a different educator, selected from community nominations to receive the Classroom Hero Award and a “hero” gift basket, courtesy of community partners Heartland Credit Union, Midway Motors Chevrolet of Hutchinson, Stutzmans Greenhouse, Hutch Putt, and Foto Cowboy.

A community member who nominated Mrs. Sturgeon for the Classroom Hero Award expressed that Sturgeon is a phenomenal and one-of-a-kind teacher who truly cares for her students.

“When a teacher talks to you about your student and gets tears in her eyes because she is so proud of the accomplishments that student has made you can see it is true care,” the nominator said. “The kids carry her in their heart for years.”

This week was Staff Appreciation Week & our Faris Staff sure deserve to be appreciated!! These amazing people go above and beyond to educate & care for our students every single day!

This week we went back to 90’s with a fun Staff only spirit week and treated them to goodies each day!!

Our Faris cookout was a huge success ! A BIG thank you to our staff for their hard work and our families for always showing up!
