#81: Maleta Forsberg, Corn Stalks

Born in Iola, Kansas, Maleta Forsberg made a home and flourishing art career in Lindsborg, Kansas. Although she was always eager to take a class or workshop in art, she was largely self-taught. Besides watercolor, oils, and acrylics, she also designed several stained glass installations for area churches. This painting exemplifies her passion for celebrating local beauty.

Mike Fallier is a prolific artist from Wichita, Kansas. The son of artist James Fallier, he began creating art at a young age. His works showcase intense experimentation in color, medium, technique, perspective, and feeling. Painting everything from canvas to vans, his love of visual expression shines through every work.
