The Boston Renaissance Charter Public School is an urban K-6 school providing students a rigorous education in English Language Arts, math, social studies and science integrated with an array of arts and experiential learning programs, including vocal and instrumental music, dance, visual arts, technology, mentoring, and Mandarin Chinese as a second language. This vibrant learning community develops students' skills, curiosity, confidence, and character, preparing them for future academic success and enabling them to succeed and thrive as engaged citizens in the 21st Century global society. We believe that all children have the capacity to reach higher levels of learning. We expect that all adults will invest time in developing meaningful student relationships. This investment - conducted with firmness and respect – along with a structured and predictable system of behavioral standards will generate a positive school culture that is necessary to uphold high expectations and will enhance student achievement. We believe that instilling comprehensive subject area knowledge along with basic skills is necessary and enables "higher-order" learning. We believe that educators, parents, and community partners are unified in actualizing a shared vision to communicate, teach, and promote a specific set of values that develop integrity and character in all students.

“Within these walls, they find peace … but they also find peace within you, because I know I did.” 💙💛

Returning to BRCPS for our From BRCPS to Beyond Alumni Speaker Series, Gary St. Fleur ’99, National Grid executive, shared a heartfelt reminder: the impact of an educator reaches far beyond a lesson.

His message honors the teachers and staff who make school a safe haven, nurture children from every background, and keep showing up for them, day after day.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s alumni. Thank you, Gary, for reminding us how much they carry forward.

Cooler air, colorful leaves, and plenty of time to play! From friendly games to catching up with friends, our students are making the most of fall on campus.

Recess gives students space to move, connect, practice teamwork, and return to learning refreshed. And these smiles? An added bonus. 💙💛

Culture. Community. Connection. 💃🏽🎶

Our Renaissance Family wrapped up Hispanic Heritage Month with a finale full of music, movement, and joy! Students and staff hit the dance floor to celebrate the rich cultures and traditions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this month’s celebration to life. HHM may have ended, but our commitment to honoring the cultures within our community continues all year. ❤️

🧡 Kindness starts with us!

October is Bullying Prevention Month, and at BRCPS, we’re celebrating respect, friendship, and the everyday choices that help every student feel safe, valued, and included.

From inviting someone to join in to speaking up when someone needs support, small acts of kindness make a big difference. 💙

BRCPS will be closed on Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. 💙💛

We honor the histories, cultures, resilience, and continuing contributions of Indigenous communities. Here in Massachusetts, that connection is reflected in our very name, which comes from the Massachusett people and an Indigenous place name referring to the Blue Hills.

To the Indigenous Peoples of America: thank you for your enduring stewardship of the land, your rich cultural traditions, and the knowledge and leadership you share across generations.

We encourage our Renaissance community to stay curious, learn from Indigenous voices, and recognize the Native peoples who continue to shape our state and our shared future.
