Dear Community,
We had the honor of attending the Thank You event for the America 250, 250,000 acts of kindness here in Bonneville County today, and we are riding high.
We want to take a minute to recognize and thank the incredible America’s 250 Idaho Initiative and, most importantly, the thousands of volunteers across Idaho—especially here in Eastern Idaho and Idaho Falls—who have given so generously of their time, energy, and compassion.
Contributing thousands upon thousands of hours through simple acts of kindness, service projects, and ongoing support for your neighbors.
That kind of commitment doesn’t just fill gaps—it builds communities.
At Community Food Basket - Idaho Falls, we see firsthand what that impact looks like.
Because of you, families facing hardship find not only meals, but also dignity, encouragement, and hope.
What you do matters more than words can express. You are the reason so many people feel seen, supported, and cared for.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for showing up, stepping in, and making a difference.
Sincerely,
The Community Food Basket Crew

Did you know? 👇
Community Food Basket shares with 30+ nonprofits, schools, senior centers, shelters, feeding sites, after-school programs, probation and parole, recovery programs, and even animal shelters every year—because collaboration is how we create real impact.
We’re proud to stand alongside so many incredible partners making a difference.
We are community supporters.
We are people lifters.
We are world changers.
And together… nothing is impossible.
☀️ Now, we need your help.
We’re entering Kid Kit season—providing easy-to-open and ready-to-eat foods for kids who are home this summer while their parents are working. Many of these kids miss out on school meals and don’t have transportation to summer feeding sites.
You can make a direct impact by supporting this effort.
Your donation helps us purchase kid-friendly food items and essential distribution supplies through our trusted vendor partners—allowing us to stretch every dollar.
💥 Every $1 donated = $4.80 worth of food.
Help us keep our kiddos fueled, nourished, and ready to thrive all summer long. 💛
👉 Donate today and be part of something bigger.

Note to self: never underestimate a room full of Rotarians with a mission and a pile of diapers.
You all turned a service project into a high-speed, high-impact operation today!
Thank you to the South/Southeast Idaho Rotary Clubs for wrapping what we think was a bazillion diapers—your teamwork means dry, happy babies and grateful families.
Community Food Basket - Idaho Falls is beyond thankful!

🌼 We’ve officially entered our “crazy plant people” era… and we’re not mad about it. 🌼
Community Food Basket - Idaho Falls was incredibly blessed with FIVE PALLETS of beautiful potted mums!
Thanks to this amazing donation, not only will many of our pantry families get to take home a little extra joy with their groceries, but we were also able to deliver more than 200 pots to the residents at Fairwinds Sandcreek Senior Living.
Because sometimes a flower isn’t “just a flower.”
Sometimes it’s color, kindness, dignity, and a reminder that someone cares.
Also… if you drove by and thought we accidentally opened a greenhouse, understandable. 🌸😂

🏢✨ DID YOU KNOW? Here are just a FEW highlights from our Distribution Center! ✨🚛
It takes an average of 40 volunteers EVERY SINGLE DAY to help keep things running smoothly at the Community Food Basket. From sorting food and organizing shelves to helping families and unloading deliveries, it truly takes a village. ❤️
Our Distribution Center is also home to other incredible nonprofits, all working together to strengthen our community and serve those in need.
🚛 Our truck dock brings in approximately 4,000 pounds of food every day to help feed local families throughout our area.
🥖 And our Food Rescue van is on the road daily, picking up donations from bakeries and stores so good food doesn’t go to waste. Volunteers carefully sort and organize bakery items to make sure there is something for everyone.
Behind every loaf of bread, every food box, and every delivery is a team of people who care deeply about this community.
This is more than a building.
