-Passage would create a new taxing authority.
-2008 Feasability Study is out of date and pre-recession.
-Proposed Hotel Tax is not enough to cover debt service.
-80.6% of voters polled don't support a tax funded event center.

Should Property Taxes Cover Qwest Debt? The mayor's budget includes an increase in the property tax which would go toward the debt for the Qwest Center. Remember -- the Qwest bonds were approved by voters in 2000 with no reliance on property taxes. So what changed?

Check this one out... I think we need to rethink the feasibility Study. None of this was ever taken into account and it can change the financial outcome dramatically.

Linda Martin called the Event Center a Public/Private partnership. Really! Who is the "private" part of this partnership? We need full disclosure!
