When packing up decorations for the season, consider recycling unwanted holiday lights. String lights DO NOT go in your curbside recycling cart, but they can be brought to the Meridian Transfer Station for free to be recycled.

When 📅: Until January 17th
Where📍: Meridian Transfer Station office parking lot (2130 W Franklin Rd.)

Things to remember 📌
- Before dropping off lights, please remove battery packs and rechargeable batteries.
- Battery packs and rechargeable batteries can be brought to the Household Hazardous Waste event on Mondays, also at the Transfer Station, from 12 PM – 7PM.

This event is open to the entire public. Rides are available from Idaho Falls and Twin Falls, and if you’re local to the Boise area, your support and presence would mean a lot. It may not affect you directly, but it could impact someone you love and care about.
