Kindergarten prep can happen on your next grocery run. 🛒

Tomorrow’s activity on our Kindergarten Readiness Calendar: make a shopping list with your child. Let your little one help by drawing pictures of things you need, making scribbles, or trying to write the first letter of a word.

Once you’re shopping, let your child hold the list and mark off each item as you find it!

These simple, everyday activities help little ones build early writing skills, recognize letters, practice matching pictures to objects, and learn that writing has a purpose. Plus, it makes grocery shopping a fun learning adventure! 💛

The calendar is free to download and has a quick, doable activity for almost every day.

❤️ Eastern Idaho showed up for our neighbors during the Big Elk Fire this summer.

When the Big Elk Fire impacted local communities, generous individuals, businesses, and organizations stepped forward with donations to help support community members affected by the fire. Your generosity provided much-needed assistance to local individuals and families during a challenging time and reminded us once again of the incredible strength of our community.

In addition to the funds donated by the community to support those affected by the fire, the United Way of Eastern Idaho Board of Directors made a separate donation to the Central Fire District in appreciation of the dedicated volunteer firefighters and team members who risk their lives to protect our communities and keep us safe. ❤️🔥
