Water & sewer rate adjustments are on the table in Ilwaco. 💧

Our systems need major capital work, and that costs money. My job is to keep your bill as low as possible. Here’s my plan:

✅ Chase every grant and low-interest loan
✅ Do the must-do projects first, phase the rest
✅ Relief for low-income seniors & residents with disabilities
✅ Fix leaks and wasted flow
✅ Phase changes in fairly for small businesses

We finally got a detailed schedule from SSF for the upcoming road work. All of this is, of course, subject to weather, but next week is looking mostly dry. City staff will get door hangers and a-frames out ASAP describing the work, providing contact info, and establishing no-parking times.

🌧️ 🚧 Weather Delay! 🚧 🌧️

Good news for classic car fans (and owners!), SSF won't be chip sealing Howerton + 1st Ave until after next weekend's Slow Drag.

One other update I forgot to mention: On Monday, Pacific County BoCC voted to obligate funding for the Seaview Ilwaco Connector Pathway before the 9/10 deadline, so that project is officially funded and moving forward!

🎣 Let's see if we can get all five !

Black Lake in Pacific County of one of over 100 lakes statewide that are part of the WDFW Trout Derby. This small lake is located near Illwaco and offers a primitive launch located on the northeast side of the lake, and limited shore access along Highway 101. As of today, 5 prizes are still waiting to be claimed here! (https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/locations/lowland-lakes/black-lake-pacific)

Over 900 prizes are available statewide! You can find a participating lake near you on our derby lakes webpage (https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/contests/trout-derby/lakes) and more about the trout derby at wdfwderby.com.

Open to anyone with a valid fishing license (children under 16 fish for free). There is no entry fee or registration required. Just catch a tagged trout anytime between now and Oct. 31, and you win!
