We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our IMS community!

Based on the preliminary results of the Nevada School Performance Framework, Incline MS has earned a 4-Star School Rating with an overall index score of 78.5 points.

This accomplishment represents an incredible journey of growth. Over the past three years, our school has increased its performance score by an impressive 28.5 points, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, families, and community partners.

Even more exciting, we are now sitting just 1.5 points away from the highest ranking available in Nevada and the top tier of schools in WCSD: a 5-Star School Rating. With a score of 78.5, we are closer than ever to achieving this prestigious distinction.

This milestone is a testament to what can be achieved when an entire community comes together around a shared commitment to student success. Every lesson taught, every challenge overcome, and every partnership strengthened has contributed to this achievement.

Thank you to our students for their perseverance, our staff for their passion and excellence, and our families for their unwavering support. This recognition belongs to all of us.

Today, we celebrate how far we've come. Tomorrow, we continue striving for even greater success.

Congratulations, Mountain Lions! We're officially a 4-Star school, and a 5-Star future is clearly within reach!

Our first event will be held on Tuesday, April 1st in room 406.

We are thrilled to introduce the IMS STEM Club, a new after-school opportunity for students to engage in exciting science experiments and hands-on demonstrations! This initiative is led by Riley Hunt, an Honors Society student from IHS, who is passionate about inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM among middle schoolers.

What is the STEM Club?

The club will meet on Tuesday afternoons and will feature interactive science experiments designed to captivate students and introduce them to fundamental scientific concepts. Some of the exciting activities planned include:

🔬 Taste the Rainbow – A diffusion experiment using Skittles and water to visualize how particles move from high to low concentrations.
🍭 Rock Candy Experiment – Learn about supersaturated solutions and precipitation while growing edible rock candy.
🧪 Make Slime – A fun way to explore chemical reactions with glue, baking soda, and contact lens solution.
🌿 Colored Flowers – Demonstrating capillary action by changing the color of carnations with food dye.
🔍 Invisible Ink – Using lemon juice and heat to reveal secret messages.
💡 Milk Plastic – Creating natural plastic using milk and vinegar to explore polymer science.
🌊 Make Oobleck – A fascinating non-Newtonian fluid experiment with cornstarch and water.
✂️ Step Through an Index Card – A fun introduction to geometry and origami principles.
