Harvest to Hallways strengthens school meals by connecting farmers with local schools, upgrading kitchen infrastructure, and helping serve healthier meals to children. SBDC Success Story: Brio Med Spa & Wellness!

With guidance from Kansas SBDC Advisor Laura Keller, Hali Schultheiss developed a strategic plan to start small, build her customer base, and prove her business model before taking on greater investment.

That careful approach paid off. Today, Brio Med Spa & Wellness has grown from a small incubated business into an established practice operating from its own fully renovated commercial building at 209 N. Penn Ave. in Independence.

The Kansas SBDC provided more than business advising—it helped connect Hali with funding resources and a network of organizations committed to helping local entrepreneurs succeed.

Hali’s advice to aspiring entrepreneurs? "Shoot for the moon!"
