Today marks 18 days since the devastating fire on 9/11/26 here in Independence.

I encourage everyone to continue praying for all those who have been affected by this heartbreaking tragedy — the families who are grieving, the friends and classmates who are hurting, the ER staff who cared for those in need, and the police officers, firefighters, EMS workers, and countless others who responded and continue to carry the weight of that day.

This is a call none of us will ever forget. The pain, the fear, and the loss have left a lasting mark on our community. But even in the midst of heartbreak, we will continue to stand together, support one another, and heal together.

Most importantly, we will never forget those we lost. Their lives, their memories, and the impact they had on our community will forever remain in our hearts.

Please continue to keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️🙏
