Fort Pentecost Started in 1984 in the heart of Amish country. Tex Pentecost's own little piece of Texas. Fort Pentecost runs entirely on donations. The Fort is always open.

There are no fees to visit the Fort. Through donations of money, materials, and labor the Fort is being revitalized. We are so very thankful for everyone's generosity and support. If you visit the Fort, we ask you to leave all building props inside the buildings, pick up after yourself, and take your trash out with you when you leave. The church is a place for reflection and prayer. Please respect the space and do not allow children to play inside it. No food or drink is allowed inside the buildings. If you wish to visit, just remember there is no running water and only a primitive toilet. Please post pictures and stories about your memories at Fort Pentecost.

Gather with loved ones, enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and take time to appreciate the values that bring us together. Tex had a deep love for country and community, always reminding others to take pride in both. In his spirit, let’s celebrate with gratitude, laughter, and patriotic pride. 🇺🇸

On a dryer day, bring the family, enjoy the day, and celebrate the special people who make a difference in our lives. 💙

Today on Flag Day, we remember that patriotism is more than flying a flag—it’s showing kindness, helping others, and taking pride in where we come from. Like Tex, may we honor our country with gratitude and heart. 🇺🇸
